About me

I'm more of a collector's item than a product from the marketplace.

For more than a quarter of a century, I've been designing, organizing and maintaining IT environments, combining infrastructure, security, networks, telecommunications, databases and programming into solutions that simply have to work.

I design and maintain production environments, including critical infrastructure and high-availability systems. I enjoy difficult failures, migrations that ideally go unnoticed, and systems that simply have to work. Networks, storage, security, automation, databases, and long-term operational responsibility.

I'm less interested in the packaging, more in how things work. Technology is supposed to solve problems, not look good on a slide. If something can be done more simply, faster and more sensibly - that's how it should be done. I don't need to give a cosmic name to something that is simply supposed to do its job well.

I don't sell technology for technology's sake. I choose solutions to fit the problem, the environment and the actual needs.
